Bob Anderson is the Director of Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property at Illinois Institute of technology (IIT). His strong interest in entrepreneurship has him involved as an investor, director, or officer in half a dozen startup companies. Bob is a chemical engineering graduate of IIT with a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He spent 37 years with UOP LLC serving in a number of management positions including managing director of two European subsidiaries, vice president of quality and productivity, and vice president of marketing. After retiring in 1999, he decided to return to the campus to help commercialize inventions by IIT faculty, teach (Energy, Environment and Economics for the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department and Creativity and Invention for the Undergraduate Business Department), coach faculty and students in business realities, and catalyze contacts between IIT and industry. In his spare time, he teaches Management of Organizational Change as a senior faculty member at Keller Graduate School of Management. Bob serves as IIT's representative to Chicago-ITEC, a state-sponsored organization dedicated to helping entrepreneurs with business startup issues. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois.
